The University Players presented “A Party to Murder” from October 24-November 3, directed by Gordon McCall.
The play, co-written by Marcia Kash and Dough Hughes, uses the ghostlight’s legend as a prologue. The ghostlight is a theatre tradition; it is the only light left through the night to ward off the ghosts of dead actors and audience members of and past performances. The ghostlight is what attracts six twenty-somethings to come to an old theatre and attempt to defy this tradition. They find scripts and portray a character from a play called “A Party to Murder.”
