It looks like after two years’ worth of silence, BBC’s Sherlock is coming back with a BANG.
With extravagant social media promotions (see literal empty hearse promotions around London and the #SherlockLives tag on Twitter), interactive trailers, and new photos coming out almost week-after-week, Sherlock’s return looks to be a busy and promising one.
What does worry me is it’s the BBC. They’re giving fans waaaay too much stuff, so as a fan I do begin to wonder if something VERY painful is up ahead.
BBC’s Sherlock has done it again! Today, the “feels-inducing” interactive trailer for series 3 has been released and it features exclusive clips from the series, and the photos that buzzfeed has shown. Note that (SPOILERS) the video also gives glimpses of how Sherlock survived the fall/ how he planned it out, and it WENT BY FAIRLY QUICKLY. So stand by and try not to miss it!
Today, November 15, Entertainment Weekly released previews of ALL 29 songs on the soundtrack, all composed by Howard Shore. Shore also worked with The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey‘s and The Lord of the Rings‘s soundtracks, so he’s a veteran in the field of composing for these epics.
The soundtrack will be released on December 10 and includes I See Fire, the end credits song for Desolation Of Smaug, written and composed by Ed Sheeran (as mentioned in a previous blog post)
